• Kawaks Discontinued:
A direct quote from Mhz, taken from the cps2shock IRC channel:

| Quote..... |

Kawaks discontinuated, source to be released one of these days, prolly... |
|
| |
 |
| |
This is sad news indeed Although I personally prefer Nebula, Kawaks was still a great emulator, which had far superior netplay support. Mhz's emu will be missed.

I know alot of you have been requesting this feature for sometime now, so I hope you all enjoy Also, you DO NOT need an account to chat, so don't be shy, let's see some non-members in the chat room
• Nebula v2.20:
El Semi has released an update today for his awesome, multi-platform emulator, the biggest addition this time is highscore saving for CPS1 and CPS2 games! Here's the complete list of changes for this version:
- CPS2
- CPS1
- GENERAL
- Added highscore saving for CPS2 games. Not all games are added yet. Almost all CPS2 games are supported, and some CPS1 too. It will use an external database to store the highscore data. You can convert a MAME Hiscore.dat file to nebula's internal DB with the command "nebula -hiconv" having the hiscore.dat file in the nebula dir, it will build HISCORES.DB in the HISCORES dir. You should delete all the .HI files to avoid problems when you change the HISCORE DB. To turn off hiscore saving, just delete HISCORES.DB from the HISCORES dir.
You will find the new version on our
Downloads page.

• ClrMamePro v2.76:
Big release today from Roman, this one updates the Scanner so it has all the features of the Merger now! Here's the complete list of what's new:
- Complete rewrite of unneeded/wrong placed ROM check
- fix of wrong placed files. That's like an automatic merger within the scanner. Files will be moved to the correct position (you may see the setnames twice in the progess dialog while fixing).
- detects any kind of necessary move operation + detailed output
- wrong placed files won't be listed as missing anymore
- scan-results-output is updated AFTER the last setclone was processed
- "wrong merged" message is now a subitem of the set message
- Now you don't have to rebuild the backupfolder to readd the misplaced files

- You can even use the scanner as merger now.
- improved setname check (also finds wrong named biossets)
- huge tree-show/hide & "Keep ScanResults" speed optimization
- scanresults shows "skipped due to zip or sharing error"
- settings OK button saves all changed options now
- removed unneeded "fixing" message in scanner window title
- loaded scanresults-tree-root item is displayed correctly
- changed rebuilder's & scanner's percent display (99% / 100% issue)
- datfile-set-default can use default.cmp OR internal defaults
- changed fix-messagebox, progressdialog and statisticswindow a bit
- closing fix-messagebox is the same as clicking on STOP
- "cleaning up data" uses 2 progress bars
- aboutdialog's default button is OK, not Dir2Dat
You will find it, as always, on our
Downloads page.

• Multimedia Section:
For the elite few that have stumbled upon this tiny piece of the 'net i'm glad to announce the addition of a new section.
It fits rather snugly between "Downloads" and "Forum" and goes by the name media.
Right now we have a really cool street fighter music video made by a very talented person, for more information check the section!
In the future i would like this section to expand and if you think of anything you would like added email me (audience participation, isn't great? )
feel free to post your comments in the forum or email me.
