• WinKawaks v1.49: A minor release of this excelent emu, updating it with support for the new NeoGeo ROMset standard present in MAME 0.79u4. Here's what's new:


  • New drivers:

    • The King of Fighters 2001 (alternate set)
    • Samurai Shodown III (set 2)

  • Changed some 29 Neogeo game ROMs to match ROMs needed by MAME 079u4.
  • Fixed alt-m from crashing kawaks when no game was loaded.
  • Changed some warning massages from 'no romset loaded' to 'no game loaded'.

• ClrMamePro v3.24: Roman has released yet another version of his astounding ROM manager, mainly upgrading the new checksum analysis feature. Here's the list:


  • added: checksum analysis->mirror rom
  • added: checksum analysis->even/odd split
  • added: checksum analysis->byteorder change
  • added: Scanner->Advanced->Mark NoDumps As Unneeded. Name says it all......this also alters the nodump handling in the scannerwindow (enable/disables them)
  • misc: showing fixing/checking text when doing checksum analysis
  • misc: optimized and fixed checksum analysis

• ClrMamePro v3.23: A sweet release from Roman today now including a new Deep ROM checksum analysis, which tries to fix bad checksums/sizes by analyzing block swaps, padding etc.. This is mainly for the next MAME release, but could prove useful with a few other DATs as well.....

• ClrMamePro v3.22c: A minor update, addressing a few minor bugs and other problems. Here's what's new:


  • fixed: parser fails for some diskname
  • misc: minor windowclientedge changes
  • misc: don't list sha1/md5 if it's not given (scanner & export)
  • misc: dir2dat uses the stored zip crc32 when not adding sha1/md5 instead of recalculating it
